Transfer my number from telekom to another provider and cancel contract (English)

Good morning,
I have tried to call the english customer care line but for some reason is not working. I’m leaving Germany soon and I would like to first transfer my mobile number to another german provider and then cancel my contract (I have monthly rolling contract)
Can someone help me to do this? I don´t speak german.... Thanks you!

You need "opt-in" activated in your Telekom contract. You can do that via hotline, via chat - or wait for a Teamie to show up/contact you.
Then get in touch with the new provider, they need to request immediate ("sofort") porting of the number.
After the new number has arrived you cancel the Telekom contract.
This is the faster way for the number to arrive in the new contract.

The "normal" way would be to cancel the contract, and order a contract/porting the number with the new provider towards the end of the Telekom contract, rather than "sofort".

could you confirm as well that the full cancellation of the contract will take place on the 12/03 or will I have to send something via email or fax?
