Cancel prepaid contract online and take number with me to another provider
4 years ago
I have a prepaid SIM from Tekekom and wish to cancel this contract and take the phone number to a new provider. I wish to do the cancellation online (or by email) instead of having to send a letter by post. Please assist me as I do not want to visit the postoffice for this during the lockdown.
Also, I don't have an active plan in my account. Now if I add money to my account online, will it auto activate a service? I do not want to activate any any service but just maintain 6.90 euros for the fee of number transfer how do I do this?
Thanks!

It looks to me like what you want is not possible.

I cancelled the contract to 4th of January 2021.
I am a bit concerned... I switch to German in order to more easily clarify with Karsten.
@Karsten L.

@muc80337_2 gave us good advice. I'll put your cancellation on 17th of January 2021 - never had problems with that before. So you are safe. Your new provider can get the number already since 17:50 o'clock.
Regards
Karsten L.
