I tried signing up for Telekom Prepaid L plan. I wish to bring my number from another operator Fraenk at the end of the contract period there.
I see that I am unable to register the request online or via Telekom app due to an error in the form. At the "Contact Info" step, I select Passport for Document Type and India for Nationality and specify my passport number in the Document ID field.
My Indian passport number is only 8-digits but the form expects me to enter a 9 to 11 digit number. The field turns red and the form cannot be submitted.
I wish to know if online sign-up is possible or if I should visit a store? Any help/advise is greatly appreciated.

that problematic type of form validation ist always known.
years before this one was working: enter one or more spaces after the leading real number instead of the end "12345678 " -> „1 2345678“ .
but i dont know the current situation.

Thanks for your response. I tried spaces in the document ID but unfortunately it is not accepted, at the start or end or in between. I will better visit a store nearby and ask them to help me with it.

Then look for a "T-Punkt" shop and not for a partner shop.
If the remaining time of your contract is not long, I suggest to transfer your phone number by setiing an Opt-in at Freank to initialize an immediate transfer.

Thank you dear Caro. Through the Shop Finder link you provided, I was able to see that there is a store nearby in Esslingen and it even mentioned that they speak English! Visited the store and completed the purchase, they had no trouble apparently with Indian passports as a form of ID.
