Magenta TV for english speakers

Hello!

I am a potential Magenta TV customer, I would like to know how people experience the provider / channels as an English speaker. I speak semi fluently german, and plan to watch mostly German TV but would like the option to sometimes have English subtitles (not dubbed) and maybe the occasionally english speaking show/ movie (also not dubbed) . Are you happy with the service in this sense?

Also how does it compare to free terestrial TV for you ? How many of the channels do you actually end up watching?

Thanks so much in advance

      Hi @ruby.f.harrison

there are to diffrent options for TV.

      • Fix line internet and mobile
      • mobil only.

the fix line TV has more channels.

I used the German public and free private channels.

      Mostly in HD

there are some shows in the German public channels, like Dr. Who, which has a second language track.

In the second language track, contains on public channels in SD stream only.

On Sky, you have both tracks (German and English) in HD.

On sky, there are no subtitle.

so fare as I know, there are no English subtitles on German channels.

In this option: Fix line internet and mobile  (Manget TV Smart included in the Fixline contract)

      You find included:

      - Kanal 126 SD BBC World News

Kanal 128 SD / HD CNN International

See: don´t care about Netflix - This is an option on the tariff SMART TV

      https://www.senderinfo.de/MagentaTV_Smart_Netflix.pdf

included channels up to page 4

Because TVNow is included in SMART

Additional bookable channels start on page 5

This is the mobile / OTT / App Version only.

This you can test charge free, for one month

To improve my language skills, I prefer Netflix.

Because, you have many different languages and subtitles.

      I need the English subtitles.

Because, some times, I didn't get the word form the speaking.

Ihm old school, so I have many records.

That is my kind of play list. 😉

My fix schedule of the day, is the Tagesschau (news) at 20:15 every day.

so fare, of my German point of view. 🤗
