Configuring Speed port W 504V

I got an internet connection which was tested by the technician yesterday and found to be working. I connected my router (speed port W 504V) and tried going on speedport.ip to configure the connection. After giving my credentials (access number, password, etc) it said that the internet connection check failed. I checked everything several times but it doesn't seem to change anything. Please help.

      @Astrogal Welchen Tarif hast Du? der alte Router wird vermutlich defekt oder nicht kompatibel sein.

      dafür ist der W504V nicht geeignet.

      @Astrogal Der 504V unterstützt zwar den IP Anschluss nach Annex B und Annex J, aber kein VDSL.
