Two Telekom contracts in two cities
vor 4 Jahren
Hi! I have two questions.
I've been a Telekom customer for over a year now. Because of work, I need to temporarily move to another city. So, for about a year, I will be renting two apartments. I want to have internet in both of them. So, my first question is: Is it possible to have Telekom internet in two different apartments, in two different cities, at the same time?
My second question is: Since my move in date for the new apartment will be 01.07.2022, would it be possible to arrange the installation of internet at that exact date?
Please let me know if you need any additional information from me. Thank you!

Hello @hejtful
Welcome to the community.
I would like to answer the two questions for you.
Is it possible to have Telekom internet in two different apartments, in two different cities, at the same time?
Only a separate contract is possible for the second place of residence.
It is not possible to use one contract for 2 apartments.
Since my move in date for the new apartment will be 01.07.2022, would it be possible to arrange the installation of internet at that exact date?
The second question is possible. However, it depends on whether the desired tariff is possible at the new place of residence.For example, whether the cross cable is not full, whether there are still enough VDSL ports free.... When ordering the tariff, you simply enter the desired date for 01.07. on. However, a new contract means a term of 24 months. The XS tariff (up to 16MBit/s has a term of 12 months.
MagentaZuhause XS:

So that you don't have a 24-month term, or 12 months with the XS tariff, a DSL contract with congstar would make sense. You can cancel monthly there.

This is definitely possible.
Attention, the "Magenta ZuHause XS" tarif is monthly cancellable, but will only have a bandwith of max. 16 Mbit/s.
Congstar, a subsidiary company of Deutsche Telekom, offers more suitabele tariffs for your requirements.

@Carsten_MK2
No,
See the link above, XS tariff with a 12-month term. Cannot be canceled monthly at Telekom.
I've also already written Congstar.
What I wanted to ask is, is it possible to have 2 separate contracts with Telekom, one for each apartment?
@hejtful
Yes, that is possible

@Marcel2605 @Carsten_MK2 I get your points about the 24-month contract.
I checked out Congstar, and people seem to be very dissatisfied with their service, especially non-native German speakers. Even though I'm at B1 German and still learning, that is simply not enough when a customer support agent is uninterested and unhelpful.
I thought about it a bit, and realized that the minimum length (24 months) for my current contract with Telekom will expire within a year. Technically, that means that I could:
1. Open contract #2 for the apartment #2.
2. When moving back to apartment #1, close the contract #1, and then move the contract #2 to apartment #1.
Am I wrong to assume this?
Thank you both again for your answers!
