Telekom contract cancel due to incompetence

Hi,

I would like to ask someone to cancel my contract due to Telekoms incompetence. I've ordered a new connection (dsl100), had 2 appointments booked for the technician (took a day off from work too, just to be on the safe side) , the guy never showed up and I'm not willing to spend more time energy on this. I can provide all necessary information in Pm.

Please also tell me How can I return a router as I don't need it anymore.

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Daniel Gróf

So you are aware that if you want a DSL connection and choose a different communication service provider you will have to go through all from scratch.

As typically the last mile is from Telekom it will also typically be a Telekom technician to show up, ordered by the other communication service provider.

In case you have e.g. cable TV as furthre option it would be different.

Im am just another customer, I cannot cancel your contract.

I wasn't 100% sure of that, but I thought something like that would happen, thanks for letting me know.

However, my neighbour offered me a guest share of his connection and after the two missed appointments I've decided to go with that. I don't really have time for an unreliable ISP

In case you have ordered the connection online or via phone you can easily use the "Widerruf" - within 14 days after reception of the "Auftragsbestätigung". You can do that there

    https://www.telekom.de/kontakt/e-mail-kontakt/festnetz/widerruf-eines-telekom-auftrags

In case you have ordered in a shop or in case the 14 days have already gone there is no easy way out of the contract.

Similarly for hardware, the 14 days start running when receiving the hardware

    https://retoure.telekom-dienste.de/fernabsatz

These pages are in German, so you might possibly need the help of a German speaking friend.

While it is also in principle possible that one of the English speaking Teamies here in the forum does that for you I should point out that it can last days and the 14 days might expire meanwhile.

Further possibility is via the hotline - if you find an English speaking agent 0800 33 01000

Or, of course via the channels mentioned in the "Widerrufsbelehrung" (email or snail mail)

    Hello @unyibrigitta,

    sorry for the late reply.

I am sorry to hear that you had a that experience with your connection.
I don't want to disturb you on a sunday without a prior message.
May I call you today? Otherwise, just tell me when can I call you, so we can look up your contract.

    Kind regards
    Sana A.
