Any maintenance campaigns ongoing?

  • Hi, I live in Kirchheim, & have a Telekom GlasFaser connection. I had a technician ringing the bell & claiming some checks need to be done in the house. I did not allow him in. Is there any maintenance campaigns or  checks ongoing in Kirchheim?

I assume these were employees of the Ranger company (‘on behalf of Telekom’)...

Did these ‘technicians’ have an ID card with them?

A maintenance is usually announced by Telekom.

@Frustrierter Helfer a.D. Yes, he had an ID. But I had no mail or information from Telekom that a technician is going to be visiting us. He just spoke very fast in German(I understand German but was too fast for me to understand 100%). We had a bad experience in the past with an impostor pretending to be a representative of another competitor in the past. So I told him to speak with my Vermieter to align for a Termin, and he left immediately abusing me that it was kostenlos now but would cost a lot of money later if I wanted it! I already have Glasfaser since day 1, but I recently upgraded my contract to a faster connection. Not sure what his agenda was. but, from the reply, I see that I need not be worried for sending him away.

Clear proof of a lie - why should you pay more later for something you already have?

His "agenda" was: "Commission at any price..."

      Hello @SBK911,

Our representatives, such as those from Ranger Marketing and Vertrieb GmbH, may visit you at home to offer services like high-speed fiber connections, mobile plans, or MagentaTV.

      How to Recognize Authorized Personnel:

      • ID Badge: Representatives always carry an ID badge at eye level, featuring a photo, expiration date, and a QR code. Scanning the QR code with your phone will take you to our website, where you can verify the person's details and authenticity.

      • Uniform: They wear Telekom-branded clothing with the text "On behalf of Telekom" and our logo.

      • Authorization Letter: They carry an original authorization letter from Telekom confirming their role.

If you have a normal appointment with a technician, you will know beforehand. What day and during what timeframe the technician will visit.

      Kind regards

      Belana
