Double Billing

Dear Sir/Madam,

I previously submitted a cancellation request for my account associated with my old address, as I have moved to a new location where I already have a Telekom product in use. However, it seems that no cancellation has been processed yet, and I am now being billed for two separate accounts at the same address.

Could you please look into this matter and assist in resolving the issue by either consolidating the accounts or canceling the unnecessary one? I would appreciate your support in ensuring I am only billed for the services at my new address.

Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your prompt response.

It's not that simple. Did you explicitly report a move? Or did you simply sign a new contract for your new place of residence and cancel the old one? How long did the old contract run? More than two years? Then that's fine. Landline charges are billed in advance. Did you receive a cancellation confirmation? A credit will be issued with your next bill. If the minimum contract term hasn't yet expired and you canceled normally, the old contract will continue until the end of its term. You'll now pay for both contracts. If you report a move, you don't need to cancel, because the contract will then either be transferred with the same terms or switched to a new plan. So that a team member can also view your profile, you must complete your profile completely. Click on your avatar in the top right corner, then go to Settings. Enter your customer number and phone number. In the "Further Information" field, enter the best time to reach you. For identification purposes, you will receive a call from a Telekom employee. Please have your IBAN ready (last 6 digits).

I have completed my profile, and there has been an official move. I also submitted the relevant proof in my cancellation request. My previous address still had around nine months left on the contract.
Since my new place already had a fiber infrastructure, I applied for a new connection before moving. As a result, during the move, both my old and new internet connections were active at the same time.
I’ve been living in the new house since July 2025, and I’ve been paying two bills ever since, even though I’m only using the fiber connection. The cancellation of the other (DSL M package) was approved, but I was told it would only be terminated in March 2026.
So, I’m currently paying for an internet service I can’t use. Will the amount I pay between July 2025 and March 2026 be refunded in the end?

Good evening @DOAYDIN and welcome to the Telekom hilft Community.

To have a closer look at your issue, we need to verify you. Because of the daytime and it's sunday, I didn't want to call you unannounced.

When will be a good time frame for a call?

      Kind regards Sven
