Fiber optic setup failure

Dear Team,
First of all my German is not so good (I am sorry about it). I have received a link for setup "Glasfaser-Anschluss einrichten". Unfortunately it fails. I tried to talk through hotline number, they checked the setup and got failure too. So then they booked the technical service for March 27th (I don't know why it is charged, if it's the issue from Telekom). I could not ask the person for alternate internet until then. Could you please help me get clarity about the issue.

Ok thanks @Stefan. Do you know if I can get alternate internet somehow until then or should I look for some other way to access the internet? I believe the billing starts from the day the modem is received.

the billing starts at the day, the line is up and running.
The are possibilities to receive a so called "Schellstart" package.
if this makes sense for 10 days- i don't know.
