Just moved to Germany, and would like to ask few questions about Magenta Zuahse
vor 2 Jahren
Hello!
I recently moved to Germany due to temporary work contract, and I'm thinking about getting Magenta Zuhause. I can't understand German well, and there is no Telekom shop with English-speaking staff nearby me, so I would like to ask you few questions.
1. As Internet contract is for 2 years, and my current rental contract is for one year, how can I cancel the contract if I would need to move to another place? What is the procedure, and what is notice period is such case?
2. What do I need in my apartment? I have some telephone socket that looks very similar to this:
TAE -3x6-NFN-UP-LSA-Plus-cremeweiss-10-Stueck-NEU-/324366191094" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow noreferrer">https://www.ebay.de/itm/10x-Telekom-Anschlussdose- TAE -3x6-NFN-UP-LSA-Plus-cremeweiss-10-Stueck-NEU-/324366191094
It has 3 inputs marked with N, F and N letters, and also telephone icons under every input, that is crossed for first and third input. It is first time seeing such socket for me, is it enough for having internet connection? I live in block of flats, Telekom website says that they can provide internet connection up to 250Mb/s in my address.
3. Do I need to buy a router? Or is it leased for the duration of the contract? If I would need to buy my own one, what type of router should I get for DSL internet?
Thank you for any help!

Hello @casimir2
Welcome to the community
To 1.
You cannot cancel the contract. Then you have to apply for a move. In order for the conditions and the remaining term to remain unchanged, you must apply for a move under the Telecommunications Act. This can only be done by phone, in the shop or here in the community by an English-speaking Teamie . If you do not want to take the contract with you, you must still apply to move to TKG .If the connection cannot be taken over 1:1 at the new place of residence, for example, the TArif does not match, there is no Telekom connection there, then Telekom grants a special termination with a notice period of 1 month.
If you move abroad again, you can always get out with a special notice of 1 month. To do this, you need to upload a form with supporting documents:

To 2:
The telephone socket fits. The router is connected to the middle socket (F) with the DSL cable.
To 3:
You don't need to buy a router. YOU can also add an additional one here. rent or book one directly with the new DSL contract.
The router is a standalone lease with a term of 12 months. Can be canceled thereafter with a notice period of 6 days. If you take the connection with you to your new place of residence, you can also take the router with you.

When you order a tariff, you can also order a router afterwards. For example the Speedport Smart 4 (has an analogue socket for the telephone)
