Hey folks,
I'm sorry if this issue is already explained, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

1 - I'm about to move (but not too much😞 from the 1st to the 2nd floor in the same building. Q: Do I need to request a change of address and schedule a visit?

2 - The new apartment already has a broadband contract from a different provider, but the landlord has agreed that I can keep my contract instead. Q: What is the course of action in this case? Does the landlord need to cancel his contract before I can connect my stuff?

Hi buenout,

1. Yea its necessary to change the line into your new apartment.
2. Because you are moving within the same building the old contract don't need to be canceled before the visit.

Hallo @buenout ,mein englisch ist nicht besonders gut, desshalb in deutsch:

Am besten du beauftragst das Produkt "Installation Telefondose", wenn es das nicht mehr gibt, dann das Produkt "Installation Netzwerk".

Der Vorteil dabei ist, dass am Vertrag selbst nichts geändert wird.

Bei einem regulären Umzug werden alle Recourcen neu bewertet und es kann passieren, dass der jetztige Tarif nicht mehr gebucht werden kann.

Bei diesem Vorgehen baucht der Vermieter nichts zu tun. Er bezahlt aber weiter für seinen Anschluss.
