No DSL socket in my apartment

Hello, I just moved in to a new apartment and I ordered Wifi from Telekom.
But I found one problem,
I cannot get the internet. The Signal strength is excellent, so it's not router problem I think.
I asked landlord, and he checked socket.
He said, probably this DSL socket is too old or not right socket.
Probably internet is somewhere, but cannot connect it because of socket problem.
How can I get the right socket?

Welcome to Telekom-Hilft, @Mirin ,
if the phone plug is too old (no " TAE "-Dose) to Telekom should replace it by the correct one.
The Plug should look like this, so the Router that ist connected to it should get a link and get online.
Is this the plug at your apartement?

Like @dunikohler already said, a photograph from the current dsl socket would be greatly appreciated.
You can also fill out your profile including your customer number and mobile phone number.

@Mirin,
the DSL socket itself seems fine although the attachment looks a bit dodgy.
Wi-Fi is fine right? Or are you also having problems with that?
What lights are blinking / flashing when you plug it in?
Also, fill out your profile, so I can take a closer look on the situation itself.

Die TAE hängt ja nur noch an einem Draht, dem 1b. Der 1a ist ab. Das kann ja nicht funktionieren.

@Mirin Due to the mention @Hubert Eder just made, regarding the faultiness of the DSL socket, we need to talk about a possible replacement / rearrangement of cabling.
