Requesting upgrade to linecard to support SuperVectoring
vor einem Jahr
Is it possible for a customer to request that Telekom please install a linecard supporting SuperVectoring at the street connection box? This is assuming that it is the only change that is required.
I am currently stuck between the proverbial rock and a hard place.
1. My glassfiber order does not seem to be going anywhere, and it is likely not going to progress for a while it would seem. See post here .
2. My 5G Hybrid connectivity has been broken since months. See post 5G -connection-consistenly-below-10-Mbps-previously/mp/6399162" target="_blank">here .
If neither of these cannot be resolved, I would at least hope that telekom can upgrade the linecard in the street to enable SuperVectoring. It is surprising that it is not already the case as a lot of the surrounding areas have speeds up to 250 Mbps.
If it is possible to make such a request (I am dearly hoping, it is possible), how do I do this? Can someone help here?

In short: No
Especially not if a fiber optic expansion is already underway.

That is rather frustrating. I guess the only hope is for the fiber expansion to complete within my lifetime 🙄
Thanks @CyberSW

In fact you actually have requested it here in this thread.
Unfortunately Telekom has an own opinion about the business case "new linecard". A single contract ("yours") going from vectoring to supervectoring brings 10€ more per month on the income side however thousands of Euro on the cost side - and that in view of fiber soon to be realized.
More promising are (in my opinion) two other alternatives
these mobile contracts are also available in flex variants, so you do not need to commit on a 24 month contract duration
