Signed up on a Fraudulent Contract with Telekom and they refuse to honor my right of withdrawal
vor 6 Monaten
Edit to clarify this: This complaint is about an email notification I received on registration for a Telekom contract that I never knew about.
It has been four days and I am going to the police today to report this issue as Identity theft or not allowing me to withdraw from such agreement within my legal rights. It's just 4 days (since 31.10.2024) since I got the email of the registration and I have been fighting it with no result.
Immediately I got the email on the 31st of October I submitted a request to terminate it but telekom is being very shady about the whole thing. they said they can't cancel it because I signed up for it at a telephone store. I told them I have been home all day and did not go to any telephone store but they insist I go to the 3rd party to cancel it, I don't know any third party and I tried asking them to at least give me information on which thrid party or proof I signed the contract so I can go to the place myself then no response. The next response I get is an automated email that they cannot respond to my inquiry like this that I need to speak with them on a call.
I finally got to call them today and the first guy I spoke with cut the call on me less than 2 minutes into the converstaion (after waiting on the line for like 7 minutes already). I was upset but tried to call again and after 20 mins waiting the line just disconnect, I guess they expect me to start again.

Hello @elizabethadegbaju
Welcome to the community.
I'm not really getting much insight from this post. If you have concluded your contract in the Telekom shop, there is usually no right of withdrawal. Likewise, if the contract has been concluded and the cancellation period of 14 days has expired, you can only cancel normally at the end of 2026.
Since it is difficult to provide targeted help, I think it makes more sense for you to discuss this over the phone with a team member here in the community.
Please fill out your profile completely. Data protection is guaranteed because only the Telekom-hilft team can view your data in your profile.

In the “More information” field, you can enter the time period when you can best be reached.
The team is here every day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (7 days). Therefore, it would be good to give generous times when people can call you.
e.g. 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., ...

@Marcel2605 I did not sign the contract that is why I tagged it fraudulent, I was in my house all day! They have not shown me any proof that I signed the contract

@elizabethadegbaju
The contract is not signed by itself. And I would be careful with the word “fraud”. It could also be a misunderstanding. It's best to discuss this with a Teamie (Telekom employee here in the community).
To do this, please fill out your profile as far as contact is concerned.

@Marcel2605 you can say that "A contract does not sign itself" because this is exactly what I am trying to say to Telekom. If I did not sign this then who did? Can you show me whose signature is on that contract with my name?
You need to understand my anger to the point of going to report this to the police because I have tried using the contact form, email, and calls with Telekom. I am 100% sure I never came into contact with any telekom staff in months. And I definitely did not mistakenly open a website to sign up for a very big internet contract talk less of walk to a shop to register like Telekom claims I did.
And the data on my profile is up to date.

no, profile is still empty.

Hello @Christine Kn. ,
I got the email and I sent a response:
I said I did not order this contract. I have never been to Koblenz in my life, I don’t even know where that is. I worked from home in my apartment at Sandhausen all day on the 31st of October, 2024.

@Christine Kn. , If this is what you have found out then I guess it was right to think it is a case of identity theft because this contract was concluded in my name without my knowledge. I panicked and tried to withdraw immediately I got the email on 31st of October but you are telling me that I signed a contract in a telephone store in koblenz along with a waiver of my right to wider.
That’s very VERY shady.
