[English] No incoming or outgoing calls in new mobile contract
2 years ago
Hello!
I have recently acquired a new "MagentaMobil Data S" contract, I received my SIM card, activated it, and then switched it to eSIM all successfully: I have data and can connect to the internet.
But when trying to make a call I directly hear "Please call again later, the person you are calling is not available at present" without it ringing once. The same happens when people tries to reach me.
I have tried for further activation or configuration steps but I found nothing, is there anything I'm missing here?

With this contract goes only Data, no Phone-Call.
Its a contract only for Data.

@Carolin L. Thanks for the confirmation. I have taken a look at the smartphone tariffs like the "MagentaMobil XS" but those are more expensive and include flat-rate for phone calls and SMSs which I don't really need.
So please, I have one last question: Is there an option for a contract that has phone-calls enabled and internet data, but without flat-rate or cheaper? Or are the MagentaMobil the only options for smartphone contracts with phone calls enabled?

I have recently acquired a new "MagentaMobil Data S" contract
This has a mobile phone number, it can be used for these two:
- data
- SMS
I guess you do not want to keep the phone number given to this new contract, so it does not make a difference for you to receive a new phone number (within a new contract)?
How many GByte do you need per month? Maybe the prepaid year contract (100 Euro in total for 12 months, every month 3 GByte, including voice&SMS flat to normal German national phone numbers)

Ok, it seems that what I was looking for doesn't really exist and I'll have to indeed leverage some kind of prepaid plan to get something closer. I'll make some numbers and decide what fits me best.
Thank you so much everyone ❤️ Even if I didn't get what I wanted you all were really kind and helpful in clarifying what my options are 😊
