Release of prepaid mobile number for portability to other provider

Dear all,

I would like to know how to release my current  mobile number on my prepaid contract with Telekom to move to another provider ? 

I already requested the portability with my new provider but it says that my current number has not been released despite there is  30 Euros of balance in my telekom account.
