Very Little Knowledge of the German Language

Hallo!

I'm an international student who just arrived in Germany. Upon searching for a net provider, I came across Telekom and ordered MagentaZuhause L with Speedport Smart 4. I have almost no knowledge of the German Language and I am scared that I will do something wrong on the day of my appointment. It's been a week without any internet for me and the appointment is still two weeks far. I don't want to make any mistake so as to cause more delay.

Is it possible that English can suffice for the appointment? I am a little anxious since as a student, an internet connection is a big requirement and it's taking so long for the setup to happen. Any chance I can get in touch with a Telekom support member?

What steps do I need to follow before and after the appointment?

      No worries, mate. Usually there will be no personal contact at all and all you have to do is plug in your new router and wait until they switch you on.

      Yes, but not guaranteed. If you want to be on the totally safe side, find a bilingual fellow student or use live translation on your smartphone.

      Unfortunately, Deutsche Telekom no longer offers a dedicated English language hotline (they used to do so some years ago).

      But you will always find some help here in the community.

      Good evening @Anchit.

      I'm glad that everything went smoothly.

      All the obligatory steps have been done.

      The router usually updates itself to the newest firmware version,

      so you don't have to worry.
