English support please - Vodafone to Telekom

Hi,
Last week, An agent from Telecom (Ranger Marketing) came to my apartment and explained about switching from Vodafone to Telekom DSL. I filled the form and I got email of my order number. I need to verify this. Can someone help me.

This should be looked at by a member of Telekom's support team. Please put your phone number here (into the "handynummer" field), so the team can contact you. Might be helpful if you could also put the order number into the "weitere informationen" field.

What is it that you need to verify?
"Clarify" would be a different issue, but verfication is already done via the email that you have received, I think.

Yes, Clarify is the right word. I need to clarify whether that Telecom representative is legitimate and the data collected from me shouldn't be used wrongly. After googling, i read some bad scams. I can provide my order number to confirm it.

and thank you for the pleasant call. Our representative was legitimate, and an order has been added to our system. Right now, we are waiting for an answer from your current provider when we would be able to switch your contract from them to us. When/if they give the ok, we will process the order further, and you will get a letter of confirmation with the start date of your new contract. As agreed, I have added the note that you will also need a router from us ant that it should be added to the order.

I also need help with this ! the Vodafone contract expired and now I have the "Telekom " dls internet! They told me the speed is better but it's bad then the Vodafone speed I have ! The problem is that I have no documents about this and I can't log in on the website to see what service do I have there or if I want to change my mind how do it do it without a contrat number!

Hello, thank you very much! I logged on to my PC and I found some emails with everything I needed, for some reason on the phone these emails did not show up for me at all even when I searched for "! I do not have the speed I pay for. 180 max out of 250 I have in my contract! I do not know who I need to talk to about this! Anyway, thank you very much for your time and help and I hope you have a nice evening!

What does your router say about the connection speed towards the Telekom network?
In many cases the problem is about the internal network - speedtests using LAN might be impacted by "green" / energy saving settings to 100 Mbit/s in the router for the ethernet ports, bad ethernet/LAN cables, and if using WLAN then people are e.g. not aware that they are only shown gross values, whereas net values are e.g. only one third of the gross value.

thank you for your reply and for your time! The device I have is a Speedport Smart 4 Type A. I have checked the power saving and there is nothing limiting the download speed. I switched my phone to 5G wifi and now I get 200mb/s on the phone, but somehow it does not work like that on the PC! I connect to my PC with a Cat 7 Ethernet cable. I have changed the cable on all 5 slots in the router but still somehow is limited to 100 mb. now! as a few weeks ago was 180 gb! There is no human or animal xd connected at the moment ! I still have the old vodaphone router. should i try to connect it and check the speed again? maybe this router from telekom is made more for wifi? i have no idea. i am grateful for any answer

I found the problem .i changed the router to the old one from vodaphone ,fritzbox or something .i feel it gives me more freedom and i can have my ethernet on priority .the speed port had only wifi priority as far as i saw !
The problem was this adapter i used to run my cable under the door to my pc unit! And also the previous cables I had, even though they were new, and was cat 7. my old single long was cat 8 and that was the only one that gave me the 200 mb/s speed!
