Return home to find Internet turned off
Hello, I do not speak German so please bare with me. I just returned home from an extend trip abroad to find my router no longer has internet. On the front, only the Status and WLAN lights are on. I've tried restarting it multiple times and ran through the apps troubleshooting. Still no internet. I've also made sure to reseat the DSL cable, but I'm still not getting the Link light to turn on. Just an idea - we had thunderstorms during the last days. Could be lightning has struck and your router is partly defective.
Or Telekom equipment.
In the latter case you should raise a trouble ticket.

Got ahold of a technician and verified he can see my router but the router can no longer connect. Looks like it got zapped by lighting. Ordered a replacement and will plug it in to verify. I'll let you know what happens in two business days lol.

OP here. Got locked out of my first account... Anyways, finally got the new router installed with great success. Looks like the old Speed Port 3 I had for the last 3 years just died on me. Everything works now with the new SpeedPort 4. So yeah, case closed. Thanks!

Hi James,
please log into your Kundencenter and initiate a line test via -> https://www.telekom.de/hilfe/hilfe-bei-stoerungen/leitungspruefung. Depending on the result, you can report an issue there, too. Also watch out for any Kundencenter notifications mentioning a “Flächenstörung” (a larger issuse which affects many users).
Fingers crossed,
Thomas

Thank you for the replies everyone. I have run the diagnostic and opened a ticket. After texting my neighbor it looks like we did experience a few thunderstorms. Looks like that's my current lead, but I am still waiting for contact from the customer service team to confirm. I'll update this post once I have the internet restored. Guess I'll take up reading a book for now lol.
