Cancel my (prepaid) contract and transfer my number to new provider

4 years ago

I just wanted to take my (pre paid) number XXXXXXX8045 to a new provider. I did this online and also called the hotline (which I couldn't understand fully) but no success. Then I was given this number to speak to someone in english 08003301080 which also doesn't work Traurig

Can someone help as after my online request, my sim services are also stopped, so no phone/internet anymore.

      Hallo @arangra

      If you would like to take your mobile phone number with you to another provider, please cancel
      your prepaid contract. You can do this over the phone. Two pointers for you: When you cancel, please point out that you intend to take the number with you to another
      provider. Please ensure that sufficient prepaid credit is available for the export fee at the time of the
      porting request. After receipt of your cancellation, we will terminate the prepaid contract with a period
      of 14 working days. As soon as you have received your confirmation of cancellation,
      you can request your new provider to transfer your number. What does porting number cost? You can find the current price for this in the price list of add-on options prepaid under the
      item Services.

      Another way:

      Wait for a team to get in touch with you.

      You should store your contact details in your profile to make a meeting easier and faster.

      OK,
      will forward your request directly to the team.
      Follow this thread further (a Telekom employee will be in touch).

      Definitely complete your profile.

      A notice:
      Your profile can only be viewed by telecom employees

      @juergen3004 no response yet, can you check?

      @arangra

      Unfortunately I can't check anything there. I'm only a Telekom customer and a guide here in the forum My report will only expedite your matter. You are in a forum here and not in a live chat. Wait a little longer until a Telekom employee contacts you.

      Apparently there aren't that many English speaking staff.
      When it is your turn I can almost promise you that you will find yourself in good and right hands

      Hey @arangra,

      unfortunately, your contract is cancelled and you also received the amount pay out.
      The last step is very important in this issue, so we are not allowed to unblock this number.

      I am so sorry. 😕

      Kind regards
      Christina P.

      Hi @Christina P.

      That sounds like a sad situation.

      At the moment if the number is not assigned, can you check that and help me if I can take it with me?

      I mean if the number is still available then there should be a way to free it?

      Regards

      @arangra

      When will blocked cell phone numbers be released again?

      As a rule, the numbers are reassigned six months after the end of the contract

      in most cases it can be more than 1 year

      I googled this statement.

      I also can't really imagine that blocked numbers can be requested again explicitly.
      I think this number will no longer be available to you in the future either.

      Unfortunately you have to live with it.

      @arangra,

      Like @juergen3004 already elaborated, it is impossible for us to save your number.
      The only thing you can do, is get a new prepaid contract with a new number.

      Kind regards Nico B.
