Cancel my Telekom Internet contract prematurely

Hi,
I signed a contract with Telekom 2 weeks ago in a Telekom shop for the internet connection. The connection is not yet established as the technician has not yet visited. Now, the owner of my apartment tells me that she already has an active internet connection for my house and I can use it.

 

I would now like to cancel the contract with Telekom. Is it possible to do it?

      Unfortunately this is not possible because the contract was made in the shop.
      You only have a cancellation period of 14 days if you conclude a contract online or over the phone.
      Only an accommodating solution from Telekom could perhaps bring some hope here.
      Have you already received an order confirmation?
       
      Is this a kind of shared apartment and you only have one room or is this an apartment building?
      You may be lucky and the order cannot be carried out due to a lack of connections and will then be canceled.
      The seller could theoretically have seen that.

      This is not correct.

       

      From a legal point of view @Lucky2024 describes the situation as it is.

       

      However Telekom voluntarily (since approx. two years I think) in many situations gives customers more rights if ordered in a shop, on a comparable level as if ordered online or by phone. However the 14-day period also applies. AND it MUST be an original Telekom shop - not a shop that just markets Telekom products, but is run by a different owner.

      Here is the full story.

       

      It is a separate apartment. The technician had visited 2 times and he said the connection from the apartment to the APL in the kellar is broken in the middle somewhere.  And he asked me to speak with the owner regarding this as the electrician has to fix it. When I did , the owner said she has an active connection and I I can make use of it. And the connection is very good I tried it. So now I don't want to call the electrician and later not the telekom technician. 

       

      So now, again I don't want to get a new connection and therefore would like to cancel the contract. If I want to break the contract even before connection is setup will that be possible? I am ready to pay early termination fees. Any idea how much it will be?

       

      What happens if I just leave it as it is? The connection is not setup yet. The contract begins once the connection is setup?

      Please be more specific - when exactly have you received the "Auftragsbestätigung"? Time counts following that.

      Hi, 

       

      I signed a contract with Telekom 2 weeks ago in a telkom shop for telekom internet. The connection with this is not yet set up. because of some electric problems. Now, the owner of my house tells me that she already has a interent connection and I can use it.  

       

      I would like to cancel now. Please help me out. I cannot speak German and hence I cannot call the support team.

      I think, I have not received Auftragsbestätigung yet. When I signed the contract at their shop, they gave me Bestellungsbestätigung. Are both the same? I got that on 14.06.2024.

      After that I received a letter from Telekom with Zugangsdaten on 21.06.2024.

      I couldn't reach you by phone right now. Unfortunately, a 14-day right of withdrawal is not possible here, as the contract was concluded in person in the store. This means that revocation is not possible and the contract is legally valid 🙏🏽
