Changing Address before Setup
2 years ago
Hi, I have ordered DSL internet connection from Telekom. I also moved to my house just a couple weeks ago.
However, I realize that although the address location is correct, I wrote down a wrong building number in the same yard.
How can I change the building number in the address I provided? I tried calling customer service however I cannot speak German at the moment and customer service number welcomes with a recorded message which I need to go through without talking to a real person.
I am really stuck right now, I would like some help on reaching out a real person at customer support.

@dgnsny welcome,
some employee of the official Telekom hilft Team (nickname Teamies ) can communicate in english.
I will write to them that you need help in english. Then one of them will call you in some hours.

Good evening @dgnsny ,
you entered your profile data already as the completed battery indicates. This enables Telekom members, and Telekom members only, to have a look at your file and contact you accordingly.
If you havn't done yet, please also mention a phone number showing times at which you are available for a call back.
An alternative are the following hotlines: Festnetz: 08003301000 or from the mobile: 2202 or landline-mobile: 0800 33 02202,
availability 7 days weekly, 24 hours daily.
In your post you mentioned that it takes quite time to get somebody on the phone. That's correct. You have better chances after 8.00 PM.
Most of the employees speak English or will pass you on to somebody speaking English.
Aus dem Ausland (from abroad):
Anwahl aus dem Ausland +49 171 252 2202 (Preis je nach Tarif im Ausland).
Hotline English: 08003301080, available from Monday to Friday 8.00 a.m to 8.00 p.m.
Regards,
Marlise

@Sherlocka ,
My comment refers to times of German hotlines only and not to the English one.
@dgnsny ,
I hope, you are not confused about the various opening times of the hotlines
now. If so, please let me know.

Thanks, no worries at the timing discussion mentioned
However the issue is following: when I call the hotline, there is this recorded tape that I need to make selections reg. my issue, type a number or say something, but the tape is all in German, so I am not even able to progress in the menu to connect to someone so that we can speak - that's my problem.

Well, the address issue is as follows:
There are three buildings in the yard, building no of one is 15, the other is 15a, and the last one is 15b.
So I wrote 15b mistakenly instead of 15 (which turns out to be my building).
It's this I am trying to change.
And I do not have mobile coverage at home so when the technician comes at a wrong house it'd be difficult to reach me.
