[English Support] Update/Port Number To Telekom Postpaid From Telekom Prepaid
vor 2 Jahren
Dear Telekom Team,
I have recently availed the Telekom Postpaid Contract and have been assigned a new number. It was through Samsung (Handy+Tarrif Combo) and somehow I believe my request regarding the porting of the existing number was lost in the process. I already hold a Telekom Prepaid number that I intend to use instead of the assigned new number. Can you please help me with this request?
Thanks,
Abhay

So I try to summarize what I understood:
You have a prepaid contract and a postpaid contract from Telekom.
You would like to have the prepaid phone number in the postpaid contract.
This is unfortunately not possible. I mean there is no legal or technical obstacle - it is just that Telekom does not do this.
The "right" way would have been to do a tariff change from prepaid to postpaid. But that is what Samsung as far as I know does not support in their offerings.

Good evening Abhay @Abhay Joshi ,
thanks for your writing and welcome to our community.
As @muc80337_2 already summarized, there needed to be another way so you can use your current prepaid mobil number with a new postpaid plan.
So for now, we have two options to this:
Is the postpaid plan, you got with a new number, within your withdrawl period?
In this case you just need to make the withdrawl and we make the change from your prepaid plan to the postpaid plan.
The other option is to use both SIM - postpaid and prepaid - in your phone. So you'll be still available at your current number but also you can use the benefits of your postpaid plan.
It is impossible to port your current prepaid number into the now existing postpaid plan.
Best regards
Sarah D.
