Hi there,

You have to call 0800 330 2202 and ask them to set a so-called Opt-in for you. If they cannot provide an English speaking operator to help you out, you might want to ask a German-speaking friend to assist you.

Good to know: Opt-in is a bit different from "Verzichtserklärung".

Nevertheless I would probably go the way that @teezeh proposes - just aks Telekom for "opt-in" and with the new provider, tell them that you want do port a.s.a.p

With opt-in the contract will not be terminated.

The other way would be that you officially cancel the prepaid contract and in the cancellation message you tell them that you want to port your number to a different provider. You will then get a cancellation confirmation from Telekom which should be sufficient for the new provider. In that case you do not ask for porting a.s.a.p. but rather to the end of the Telekom contract

Good afternoon,
I just moved from Germany and I'm wondering if it is possible to transfer my contract or telephone number to Austria - My contract is with German Magenta.

Unfortunately that is not possible.

The phone number must remain in Germany.
