Need help to terminate DSL contract due to moving abroad

Hello,

I am currently having a DSL connection from Telekom, however I would be moving back to my home country India by end of this month (31-July-2022) . Could you please help me in getting the contract terminated?

Since I do not have the Abmeldung document yet, so what other docs can be used for that or do I need to wait (as the abmeldung can only be done 7 days prior) ? Also, please help me with the address for returning the router.

Thanks,

Deepak

      Hallo @deepaknandi ,

you can find the link to the form on this page:

      https://www.telekom.de/hilfe/auftrag-erste-schritte/umzug/umzug-ins-ausland

The form can be accessed here:

      0482647F-108A-4A50-879A-299D6580D6DE.jpeg

Click where the big yellow dot is to access the form. You will need one of the documents listed (yellow line). Do you have someone to help you with the form or is your German with the help of google translate good enough?

To return your router you have to cancel it first. Here is a step-by-step process for this:

      https://www.telekom.de/hilfe/geraete-zubehoer/einrichtung-support/geraete-mieten/mietgeraet-kuendigen

At the end of the process you will have a form for return that you can print.

      Best wishes,

      Coole Katze

If it is about a rented router then please stick to the return note as provided by Telekom, which contains both the valid Telekom address for such purposes as well as a code so that the Telekom/the company working for Telekom can link the router to your contract. You can go via this form https://retoure.telekom-dienste.de/miete/

In principle it is also possible to bring the router to a Telekom shop - however I myself would prefer the postal way, in a Telekom shop you can only rely on that the people there are familiar with taking back a rented router.

      Hello  @Inga Kristina J.

I have received a bill of 24.22 Euro for Aug,22. Probably this is the final bill for my contract. I am not sure if I have to pay this or not as you said once the final bill is generated, you will take care of it. The amount is not yet deducted from my bank account. Could you please let me know if I have to anything from my side?

      Thanks, Deepak

      Hello @deepaknandi,

no, this ist not the last invoice. I blocked the invoice for August, so that it was not yet taken from your bank account.

The last invoice for your contract should be ready in the following days. Most of it will be a credit, so that there will only be a small amount left that's deducted from your bank account in September.

I'm keeping an eye on it.

      Kind regards Inga Kristina J.

      Hello @deepaknandi,

thank you very much for the friendly call.

      Fröhlich

I will cancel the contract now to today, as it has already been noted by my colleagues because of your email.

And I will keep an eye on the next two invoices to make sure that the chargement is correct.

      Kind regards Inga Kristina J.
