New connection W724V not working

Hello, 

My router has been installed this morning by a technician who told me to wait for about 10 minutes for the lights to come on. He added, if it doesn’t then you do a manual configuration. I don’t speak German and everything is in German, so I asked him what if I have to do a manual configuration, can’t you help? He said „it will automatically setup”. He left and since then I can’t connect to Internet only the status and WLAN are permenantely on and the rest are off. No access to internet, I have called Telekom but no answer. I need solutions if not I am switching to another service. Telekom your customer service is very poor and unbelievable. We don’t pay to receive such treatment and you’re not the only internet service you have to keep that mind. I hope I will get a quick solution from your service.

      First of all the service of any provider in Germany isn't the Best. I personally had never got any problems with the Telekom one (if you leave the sometimes horrible hotline out).

       

      Secondly you can switch the language of the GUI in the router to english. At the top right corner of the start menu there's a button called "English". Just tap it. 

      If you didn't know already: You can access the router through http://speedport.ip

       

      If you open the router's website, is there anything you have to configure?

       

      BTW: We currently have a shortage of technicians in Germany. Because of that they don't have much time for every customer. All other (virtual) DSL providers still use the Telekom cables and so also the Telekom technicians.

      Thanks you could be right but it’s easier for everyone and less time consuming to do the arrangements once.

      You don‘t need a technician for the configuration now. Normally the router does that automatically but if that won‘t work you can do it by  yourself.

       

      Just post a screenshot of the current router menu.

      But only if the connection is made via BNG .

      For this the current firmware must be installed in the speedport.

      EasySupport should then also be better activated.

       BNG  stands for Broadband Network Gateway.
      The update for the Speedport routers is available because  BNG  does away with the access ID and the personal password for the PPPoE connection.
      There is then a line ID that is permanently linked to the port.
      The customer plugs in his router and goes online.
