Withdrawal of Fraudulent Contract

Hello everyone,

I urgently need help with canceling my contract.

A few days ago, two Telekom salespeople came to my house and claimed that my current DSL contract with Vodafone would no longer work and that I had to switch to Telekom. They filled out a contract for me and had me sign it. Unfortunately, my German language skills are limited, and they were very pushy and convincing, so I signed without fully understanding what I was agreeing to.

Shortly after, I received a call from Telekom where the contract details were supposedly discussed. Again, I was pressured to agree, and I was told it was only for a technician visit – not for a full contract change. However, today I received a message from Telekom saying they are happy that I decided to switch providers!

I already sent an email to widerruf@telekom.de a few days ago, but I have not received any reply yet. I am worried that my cancellation request is not being processed, even though I am still within the 14-day period.

My request:

  • I would like an immediate confirmation of the cancellation and to ensure that the contract does not go into effect.
  • My existing DSL contract should remain untouched.
  • I request that someone from customer service contact me immediately.

Has anyone had a similar experience or can offer advice on how to get Telekom to process my cancellation quickly?

      @victor_victor As a precaution, you can fill in your profile details completely so that the team can contact you if necessary.


      a) Click on your avatar at the top right.
      b) Select "My settings".
      c) Enter your customer number and telephone number and under "Further information" enter a time slot for a callback.
      d) For identification purposes, please have the last 6 digits of your IBAN ready.

      Then please leave a short message here.

      Hello Malte,

      I have not received any email regarding cancellation of my contract yet. Instead I received yesterday, a letter from telekom thanking for the switch and letting me know that they will cancel my current provider. Also yesterday, I received two emails from telekom with subjects: 1)
      Vorvertragliche Pflichtinformationen für Sie and 2)Wechsel zur Telekom bestätigen.

      Could you please check again and cancel my contract immediately? I would like to receive the cancellation confirmation as soon as possible.
      I also received the customer number and order number in the letter so let me know if you would require that.

      I just received a cancellation confirmation with following information:
      "Der Auftrag für Ihren Glasfaser-Anschluss wurde storniert

       Stornierte Bestellung: 250320-PSM-GMNK0K "

      But on the letter I received yesterday, it mentioned the order is for product MagentaZuhauseXL with order number (Auftragsnummer:) 91138537390

      I just want to make sure that there are no more contracts opened for me and I want to cancel every contract that was opened. I have updated my customer number in my profile, so could you please check and let me know if there are any more contracts that still are not cancelled under my customer number?

       I have checked the systems and can assure you that everything has been cancelled as discussed with my colleague.
