Fiber optic modem los led blinks red - no internet

  • Hello,

My modem started glowing red and my internet hasn't worked since. Plug in/out didn't do anything either. Does a technician have to come here, or does it come back?

Fiber optic modem led Status:

Fiber optic modem has 4 lights Power & Link are solid green, Pon is dark and Los is flashing red.

    LOS is "loss of signal", so there is probably an interruption in the fiber to your home. Maybe you're lucky and it's just a connection somehwere that came unplugged, that should be a quick fix. Worst case would be if the cable was damaged underground, in which case it will take some time to locate the fault, dig out the cable and fix it.

     

    I'll highligh this thread to the support team, they will probably give you a call and discuss the way forward with you.

    As discussed, the technician will come on the 27.05.2022 between 11am and 3pm.

    I keep my fingers crossed that the issues can be solved quick.

    Hello @Martin Bo. 

    Problem got fixed!

     The issue is because of DSL common line coming from outside the home for the whole Street was broken due to that all houses in the street had a same issue.

    Someone allready reported the issue and problem was fixed by Telekom.

    Hence i have already cancelled the appointment with Telekom technician.
