Fritzbox connected but no internet

Hello!

I just finish setting up my fritzbox 7430 after resetting it to the factory settings as I had forgotten the portal password. Upon setup everything seemed to be working fine, I got a message telling me the internet connection was successful. However, when I run the diagnostic function, the internet seems to not be working and I have no connection to other websites outside fritz.box. 

 

Any help?

      The DNS server you are getting (37.50.8.60) is one that redirects any hostname to ip.block.dt.de. As far as I know, this DNS is assigned to lines that have been disconnected, e.g. due to unpaid bills.

       

      There have been cases where this blocking DNS was assigned in error (see here for example) and where the situation could be resolved by rebooting the router. So...have you tried turning it off and on again?

       

      If that doesn't help, let's wait for a member of the official support team, maybe they can shed some light into the matter.

      You could try to manually setup another DNS resolver, for example 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) or 9.9.9.9 (Quad9) in your Fritzbox as a workaround.

      I just had a look and I guess I know what went wrong. But I can only discuss this with the owner of the contract. 

       

      Can I reach him by the mobile number you noted in your profile data, too?
